- Correct. A local law enforcement officer knows the people in his/her community dramatically better than an FBI technical officer at a call center in Clarksburg, West Virginia. And there’s nothing ominous about it.
- Never said that. I’m only suggesting from pulling from the records already available to the NICS database, which are not barred by HIPAA. I do believer, however, that the categories for mental health prohibitions on gun buyers should be redrawn because they are arbitrary and outdated.
- Nowhere near as expensive as the cost of treating gun violence in this country currently is. That’s a hollow and see-through argument.
